Another Fun, Frosting Project

A local company had a big problem…… they had in excess of 400 workstations installed in their new offices and thought that clear glass on all of them would make the area feel open and warm. After all the units were installed they realized they had made a mistake! They now wanted the glass frosted to provide a more private environment for employees to do their work. They were left with 2 options: 1- Absorb a significant cost and re-order the glass with the frosted look or 2 – Hire SolarTex, to retrofit the existing units with a frosted film. We’re glad to report they chase option 2! After seeing a couple of the units completed the project manager reported that the film looked great. We have to agree with that, and we’re glad we could help! We love to help people solve problems. Images below:

Winter Sun Stronger Than Summer Sun In Some Cases

The sun can often reek more havoc in the Winter than in the Summer. The lower angles of winter daylighting can be more intense for some elevations and when coupled with light reflecting off remaining snow, the glare can be overwhelming.
